Dear Colleagues
It is with great pleasure that I announce the appointment of Chris Gartner as the new PVC Future Students for UC with a commencement date of 7 March 2022. Chris is currently the Director, Academic Services within the Faculty of Business and Economics at The University of Melbourne.
Chris has previously held leadership positions in higher education policy, funding, regulation, and equity areas within government. He spent several years working at Director-level with Austrade and Victoria’s Study Melbourne promotion agencies where he enabled Australian international education institutions navigate changing global marketplaces and oversaw initiatives to drive high-quality international student experience. He has also served as a Senior Ministerial Advisor and worked with Victoria University and not-for-profit community education providers.
Chris brings a broad range of experience across higher education, international student recruitment, partnerships and liaising with governments.
We are looking forward to Chris joining our UC community in March.
