Dear colleagues,
I am delighted to announce the appointment of Fiona Davies as the University’s Chief People Officer.
Fiona brings over 25 years of experience in human resources, with a distinguished career in the higher education sector. In her most recent role as Deputy Chief People Officer at La Trobe University, Fiona co-led strategic initiatives in workforce planning, leadership development, and cultural transformation. Her leadership was instrumental in successfully negotiating enterprise agreements, embedding equity and wellbeing strategies, and supporting important university-wide strategic change.
Fiona’s career reflects a deep commitment to values-driven leadership, operational excellence, and inclusive workplace culture. She has a proven track record of building high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, and aligning people strategy with institutional goals. Fiona’s expertise will be instrumental in leading our People and Culture team into its next chapter.
