Dear Colleagues
After an extensive national search, the University has appointed Jill Turner to the position of Director of People and Capability (P&C). Jill joined CDU as Deputy Director of P&C in January 2019 before taking on the role of Acting Director early this year. She has worked in universities, government and commercial organisations in the UAE, Oman and New Zealand.
Jill holds a Master of Science Training and Performance Management from Leicester University, is a British Psychological Society accredited psychometrician and a change practitioner accredited by change management specialists PROSCI. Jill is also in the midst of a PhD at the University of Otago (NZ) that explores institutional cultural sexism towards academic women.
Immediately before joining CDU she held HR leadership roles at the University of Otago where she drove organisational structural change, and recruitment, staff development and equity activities. Clearly, Jill brings a wealth of skills and experience to this key portfolio at CDU.
