Thank you for your interest in the role with Curtin University.
An appointment has now been made with the following announcement released by Curtin University.
Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce that we have finalised the process of selecting the new Head of School and can announce Professor Nathaniel Belcher will join us in the new year.
Professor Belcher trained as an Architect at Virginia Tech and then Harvard. He will come to us from the H. Campbell and Eleanor R. Stuckeman School of Architecture at The Pennsylvania State University, which has over 600 students and 80 staff. Prof Belcher is a past Director of that School. Before Penn State, he was at Florida International University and served as Assistant Dean and ultimately Director of the School of Architecture at FIU.
Prof Belcher is committed to seeing out the teaching term at Penn State and we plan for him to join us in the New Year. I am sure you will join me in welcoming Nat to Curtin. I am confident that he will bring a great deal to the School and very much look forward to working with him.
In the meantime, I would like to thank and acknowledge Dr Alfred Olatunji’s work as Acting Head of School, and to thank him for agreeing to continue in the role through the rest of 2019. The role of an interim Head is an extremely difficult one and I very much admire Alfred for his commitment and courage in taking this on.
